Speed supervision of gensetsFunction
Via the output frequency of the generator, the BZ1 detects the speed of the genset to be supervised. The relay is provided with three independently adjustable elements for ignition speed, under and overspeed. The rated frequency can be changed from 50 Hz (left stop) to 60 Hz (right stop) by means of potentiometer CAL. At output CAL-A2 a current of 0 – 20 mA in proportion to the speed is available for indication of speed.For more information please contact :

Function
Unit BU1-DC2 is equipped with an over (U>) and under voltage supervision (U<) with separate adjustable pick up values and common trip delay (t) and hysteresis (DIFF).The DC voltage measured is constantly compared with the set reference values. Any voltage signal, which exceeds the set reference value for over voltage, or falls below the set reference value for under voltage, will cause the respective relay to trip after elaps of the time delay.

Function
The unit BI1 is equipped with an independent over (I>) and undercurrent supervision (I<) with seperate adjustable pickup values and trip delays. The measured current is continuously compared with the set reference values.
If the current exceeds or drops below the set value the relay trips after the time delay has elapsed.
Undercurrent supervision can be deactivated by turning potentiometer I</In to 0 %.For more information please contact :

Under and over frequency supervision of single or three phase systems.
The unit BF1 is equipped with an independent over (f>) and under frequency supervision (f<) with seperate
adjustable pickup values and trip delays. The measured frequency is continuously compared with the set reference values.
For frequency supervision the cycle duration is evaluated and so measuring is virtually independent on harmonics. To avoid tripping during normal operation due to interference voltages, a fixed measuring repetition is used.For more information please contact :

The phase of the voltage supply are fed to an electronic measuring system. Units with one system for over or under voltage and units with two system for Over and Under voltage can be supplied. A small signal lamp lights up as long as the supplied voltage is within the adjusted limits. The signal lamp extinguishes and two output contacts are switched the moment one phase exceeds or falls below the limits.

NC3
The NC3 is an efficient automatic controller for the parallel operation of gensets with the mains, including
function for emergency power operation (type NC3-1).
By NC3-2 the control of several gensets operating in parallel is realized.
By these controllers, combustion engines can automatically be started, stopped and supervised. There is
no programming involved for adaption to the different gensets, which is an advantage when compared to
SPS controls.For the control of pump sets, automatic controller NC3-3 is used.

RW N 1-10-230
During parallel operation of a generator with a grid or with another generating system, it is necessary to supervise the power direction. Should, for instance, the driving unit fail, the generator acts as a motor by taking power from the grid and driving the unit. The reverse power relay RW N 1 detects the reversal of power direction and disconnects the generator in case of fault. By this power losses as well as dangerous conditions for the driving unit are prevented.
The unit RW N 1 is also suitable as a minimum load monitor.
Two variants of the appliance are available.
Type RW N 1-10 is used in low tension installations and type RW N 1-12 in medium tension installations.

The synchronizer unit SY N is supplied from one phase of each system. The unit compares the two frequencies, the difference in voltage and measures the phase coincidence and gives led impulse to close the alternator circuit breaker.
Application
This unit is normally used for switching on Parallel generating sets with either the mains supply or with other generating sets
Synchronizing unit SY N is monitoring these values angives an output impulse, when they are within theipre-set limits

Current Sensing are given an output contact when the current flow rise above the pread justed limit. The time lag between measuring the over current and giving the output contact is independent on the percentage of over current. Independent current relays are normaly used for selective triping. The other current relays are operating dependent on percentage of overcurrent, like thermal or inverse current relay.
Function and Adjustment
Independent current relay IWU N and IWK N consisting of: one electronic current measuring circuit (resp. 3 circuits withindex IW. 2/3) as well as one lag circuit for the switching delay. A led indicates the position of the adjusted limit.

The NB2 is an efficient automatic controller for the use in emergency and standby power systems. Combustion engines can automatically be started, stopped and supervised. There is no programming involved for adaption to the different gensets, which is an advantage when compared to SPS controls.
Protection of the generator can also be realized by the integrated analogue value processing facility. Here this function provides supervision of mains and generator voltage and frequency as well as supervision of mains unbalance, ignition speed and overspeed, dynamo, speed sensor and battery voltage.
